Steven Shmerler has been immersed in Internet for over 12 years and a Mac enthusiast for 25 in addition to entertainment marketing for 20 years. He has served as: founder and chairman of the Ethical Standards & Practices Committee, Sponsorship chair and founder of the Association of Internet Professionals and president of SASNET Design; an Internet design/development company. SASNET has built websites for a number of film, television, music and other corporate industries including, 20th Fox Films, Castle Rock Entertainment, Comic Relief, Ray Charles, Walt Disney Company, City of Los Angeles among others. Coupled with guest speaking at Internet seminars and classes, Mr. Shmerler is a well know and a respected “Net entity” within the Los Angeles Web Community and taught website design and building your business briefly at UCLA Extension in addition to being a contributing author to a couple books on Adobe Golve. Mr. Shmerler’s entertainment marketing background includes serving as VP of Marketing & Creative Services, Arista Records and Chrysalis Records and RCA Records, where he was Product Manager for their Associated Labels Division. As an entertainment consultant, Mr. Shmerler has developed, negotiated and implemented fully integrated marketing programs for a number of major corporations including: Adolph Coors Company, Canada Dry Ginger Ale, Chevrolet, HBO, LBS Communications, Levis Strauss, various record labels and radio networks, Nike, Pioneer Electronics and Swatch Watch USA.
